We aim to push humanity forward by skyrocketing global change-makers who are disrupting the universes both on the ground, in the skies and beyond. Entrepreneurs building space and robotics companies will come together to solve the biggest challenges facing our world and the galaxies today. Draper University will accelerate 80 entrepreneurs and help them think bigger and drive progress through 5 weeks of intensive team based learning.

The Application Process

Our process is completed in 3 simple steps

Our application is simple. Tell us your business idea (if you have one), and why you were put on this earth. Include what makes you unique!


After receiving your application, we will schedule a 15-minute Skype interview with a member of our admissions team to learn more about your background.

3. Get notified

After the interview, you will receive an admissions decision within 3-4 weeks. Financial Aid is awarded on a rolling basis, so apply ASAP!


Draper University Ventures

Draper University launched a fund dedicated to only Draper University students and alumni companies.


Aside from our all-star line of speakers, our tuition covers on-campus accommodation in downtown San Mateo, transportation for activities, expenses for outdoor activities, and admission to special events. Our tuition is currently $12,000. Up to 15 meals per students will be included in the session.


Limited financial aid and scholarships are offered based on demonstrated need, academic merit and entrepreneurial experience. You will receive a scholarship application upon acceptance if you qualify.

Visa and Travel Plans

If you are applying from abroad, please take into consideration the time required to apply for a visa if you are accepted to Draper University's Summer or Fall residential programs (i.e. Hero Training, Semester in Silicon Valley). We STRONGLY advise you submit your application at least 4 months prior to the program start date in order to allow ample time for processing for a business visitor visa from your home country. Contact admissions@draperuniversity.com for any Visa related questions. Up to 15 meals per student will be included in the session.

How much does the program cost?

The program costs $12,000 for our Space and Robotics Hero Training 5 week programs.

Can I apply if I don't have an idea yet?

Yes you can! We are a "human accelerator" and looking for great future entrepreneurs whether you have an idea or not.

Can I apply if I already have an idea and a team?

Yes, we are looking for top talent and would love to have you at our accelerator for you to gain access to our network and also possibly raise money during our Pitch Day with 100+ investors/mentors.

Do you pay for my flight to Draper?

No we do not unfortunately.

What is covered in the tuition?

Accommodation + Academics.

What are other extra expenses?

Flight tickets and daily meals.

Can I get more information about scholarships?

Please apply first. We will assess your ability to receive scholarships after your interview.

How can I prepare for my interview?

Our interview is only 15 minutes via Skype and informal for the most part, so just be yourself!

If my company is not a Space or Robotics company can I still apply?

No, this session is industry specific. Only Space or Robotics companies/ideas allowed for this session, but we also have a Hero Training session in Summer for all industries.
